Boingo Mobile Quick Start Guide for Sony Ericsson Devices

• From your mobile device browser or a PC, download the Boingo Mobile software. Download sites:
• The Boingo-Sony Ericsson microsite: http://mobile.boingo.com/se.
• Fun & Downloads Sony Ericsson web portal (available in select regions), in the Software directory: http://www.sonyericsson.com/fun/portal.
• Install Boingo Mobile software.
• If you downloaded Boingo Mobile software to your device, the installation will automatically begin. Please follow the prompts to complete the installation.
• If you downloaded Boingo Mobile software to your PC, you can either connect your device via the manufacturer supplied USB cable and transfer the file via PC Suite for Sony Ericsson Smartphones, OR use a Bluetooth connection between your computer and phone.
1. Using a USB cable:
1. Transfer the Boingo Mobile .sis file onto your phone's memory (make certain to note the location of the file).
2. Disconnect your phone from the USB connection.
3. On your phone, go to the File Manager application and navigate to the location where you placed the .sis file.
4. Click on the Boingo Mobile file icon and the installation will proceed. Please follow the prompts to complete the installation.
2. Using Bluetooth:
1. Enable Bluetooth on your phone: Settings/Control Panel>Connectivity/Connection>Bluetooth.
2. On your computer, open the appropriate Bluetooth application. The application should provide a "Wireless File Transfer" option, which allows you to search for and select Bluetooth devices to connect and send files to.
3. Once you have successfully transferred the Boingo Mobile application to your phone, select "View" and the install process will begin.
• To sign up for Boingo Mobile (note: you must first connect to the Internet via an open Wi-Fi hotspot, your cellular data connection, or your home or office network):
1. Open the Boingo Mobile application.
2. If you have an existing Boingo Mobile account, select Settings and enter your username and password. Once you click "Done" your user credentials will be saved automatically.
3. If you are a new user, create a Boingo Mobile account by selecting Sign up Now! When you have completed the signup process, follow the on-screen instructions to enter your username and password into the Boingo Mobile client. Click "Done" to save this information for future use.
4. Alternatively, you can create a Boingo Mobile account on your PC at https://my.mobile.boingo.com/sonyericsson/signup.html. When you have completed the signup process on your PC, open Boingo Mobile on your device, select Settings, and enter the username and password you created.
