Boingo Mobile Quick Start Guide for Motorola Devices
- Insert the memory card that comes with your Motorola Q 11 and follow the on-screen instructions to install the Boingo Mobile software client. If Boingo Mobile is not available on your memory card, you can download it at the following site: http://mobile.boingo.com/motorola.
To create a Boingo Mobile account (note: you must first connect to the Internet via an open Wi-Fi hotspot, your cellular data connection, or your home or office network):
- Launch the Boingo Mobile application from the Start menu.
- Agree to the End User License Agreement.
- Review the default settings and then select Finish.
- You will be asked if you have an existing Boingo account.
- Select Yes if you have already signed up for an account and provide your login details.
- Select No if you do not yet have an account, and follow the on-screen instructions. Once you have created your Boingo Mobile account, your username and password will be automatically saved. Please note that a valid credit card is required to establish your account. You will not be billed during your complimentary one-month trial period. After the promotion period ends, your credit card will be billed $7.95/5.95/£3.95 per month for unlimited usage. You are free to cancel at anytime.
- Alternatively, you can create a Boingo Mobile account on your PC at http://mobile.boingo.com/motorola. When you have completed the signup process on your PC, open Boingo Mobile on your Q 11, select Yes when asked if you already have a Boingo Mobile account. Then, enter the username and password you created on your PC.
- To get online at a Boingo hotspot, launch the Boingo Mobile application to automatically scan for hotspots and connect. For a list of locations, please visit http://mobile.boingo.com/locations. To surf the Web, simply launch Internet Explorer from the Start menu. Just be sure to keep the Boingo Mobile application running in the background in order to stay connected.
