How do I download and install Boingo Mobile software to my Motorola smartphone?

Boingo Mobile is pre-loaded on the SD memory card that came with your Motorola smartphone. To begin the installation process, insert the memory card and follow the on-screen instructions to install the Boingo Mobile .cab file.

Boingo will save this profile so you can connect automatically whenever you are at this location.
• If you are not at the location where you want to connect, but you want to add that location so that Boingo can connect in the future, launch Boingo Mobile. Then select Menu>Profiles>Menu>Add. Enter the network SSID and choose a network name, e.g., “Home.” Boingo will save this profile so you can connect automatically whenever you are at this location.

If I change my username or password via my PC at http://my.mobile.boingo.com, do I need to update Boingo Mobile?

• Yes, if you change your username or password via your PC at http://my.mobile.boingo.com, your hotspot data will not get updated on the phone until you enter your new username and/or password on the phone as well.
• To do so, open the Boingo Mobile application on your phone, select Menu>Account. Enter your new username and/or password. Once you have done this, your phone will be updated with your new user credentials.

Do I need to turn on Wi-Fi via my phone’s connection manager in order for Boingo Mobile to connect me?

No, you do not have to turn on Wi-Fi via your phone’s connection manager. When you launch Boingo Mobile on your phone, the application automatically turns on Wi-Fi.

How do I manually update the configuration version of Boingo Mobile software to ensure that I have the latest hotspot update?

• First, connect to the Internet via an open Wi-Fi hotspot, your cellular data connection, or your home or office network.
• Open the Boingo Mobile application.
• Select Hotspots>Manual Update.
