Boingo Mobile Quick Start Guide for iPhone/iPod Touch
- Install the free Boingo Wi-Fi software from the App Store. Find Boingo in the “Productivity” or “Utilities” category or simply do a search for “Boingo.” An open Wi-Fi hotspot or cellular data connection is required to download the software and sign up for the service. You can also download the software to your PC via iTunes and then transfer the file to your device by performing a sync through the USB cable.
Create a Boingo Mobile account via your iPhone/iPod Touch:
- Launch Boingo Wi-Fi from the home screen.
- If you are an existing Boingo Mobile subscriber, tap on I Have an Account and enter your username and password. If you are a new subscriber, tap on Sign Up Now. You will be re-directed to a Boingo website where you can create your account. Please note that a valid credit card is required to establish your account.
- Re-launch Boingo and tap on I Have an Account
- Enter your username and password, tap on Done. Once you have created an account through the Boingo Mobile application, your username and password will be automatically saved.
Alternatively, create a Boingo Mobile account via your PC at www.boingo.com/apple
- Complete the signup process on your PC.
- Open Boingo Mobile on your iPhone/iPod Touch.
- Tap on I Have an Account.
- Enter the username and password you created on your PC.
Connect to a Boingo Mobile hotspot (for a directory of locations and associated operators, visit http://mobile.boingo.com/locations):
- Turn on Wi-Fi from the iPhone/iPod Touch Settings menu.
- Select a Boingo-supported network.
- Launch Boingo from the iPhone’s home screen and select “Login” (this button appears only if you have selected a Boingo-supported network).
